Our Plane landed in LaGuardia at 9am on Monday morning we came into Manhattan and stayed at the World Trade Hotel in the financial district. I hadn’t heard what was happening with Ground Zero recently so to my surprise a month short of ten years after the attacks they are still cleaning up the massive open city block from the day the world changed.  Looking out my hotel window down at the whole in New York City made me sick, I instantly became numb.  The beauty and new life of the National September 11 Memorial stopped me from bursting into tears, it gave me hope and faith for our future. Like everyone I clearly remember the day but being at Ground Zero made it surreal. To see that we’re still repairing the physical damage and knowing that the emotional suffering can never be rectified is horrifying. It became clear that I was in New York City.

Ten years later we are here to pray for the innocent people on the flights, in the pentagon, in the towers, the Firefighters, EMT’s, Police Officers and volunteers who risked or lost their lives, the military personnel who’ve fought are fighting or have fallen since, and all of the families and friends that are still missing their loved ones. As Gods children we can’t forget that we need to pray for the ones that serve evil and pray that their souls be changed.  We Will Never Forget. Let us pray. Amen.
