This past weekend we had the comely enjoyment of walking the Magnificent Mile on a fetching Saturday morning.  After shopping up an appetite we strolled over to a local restaurant, Sunny Side Up & Coffee Shop, that we’ve passed many times prior. The menu is quite brunch heavy in that is has your traditional egg courses, specialty pancakes, stuffed french toast, parfaits, croque madame, breakfast skillets, an array of eggs Benedict and my personal favorite, the chorizo omelette. We sat outside under the trees, by freshly blossomed lavender and sipped proper squeezed orange juice and lattes. The food, once finally served as they were quite busy with patrons waiting to be seated, was cooked with precision, plated beautifully and prepared to perfection. We will be back again soon, and next time I will be having the chilaquiles… as long as I’m permitted a side order of their amazing chorizo, and maybe a half order of the delectable dulcet and crispy cinnamon roll pancakes.
